This is a view from my parents house. It's in Metanopoli: the name is really in contrast with the place. It means the "City of Methan gas", and it surely evokes images of post-industrial decay, while it's really a middle class suburbs with an amazaing amount of green space (for Milan's standards). I guess the name was picked becase this entire area was built by the main Italian energy company, ENI, for it's employes. Here can see the old sporting complex, which also includes a great park, where I essentially grew up (lots of competitive tennis and swimming in my youth).
