China is the photographer's Smorgasbord. My first visit was in October of 2004. In 2004 I visited Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Kunming, Lijiang (with a side trip to the ShangriLa area), Jiuzhaigou and Shanghai. The second trip was in April 2007 and we took in Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an and Guilin (with a side trip to Yangshuo). The Third trip was in September 2009 and included: Shanghai, Zhangjaijie, Fenghuang, Kaili, Xijiang Miao Village, Guilin, Yangshuo, Nanjing, Suzhou, Tong Li and back to Shanghai. The fourth trip was in September 2010 and I visited Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Tong Li (again), Zhouzhuang, 3 days climbing the fabled Yellow Mountain (Huangshan), Lianjiang and Hong Kong.The fifth trip covered Shanghai and Chengdu in 2013 and the 6th trip in 2014 Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu. Most recently (May 2014) I visited Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing, Yangshuo, Huangshan and Hongcun. It doesn't matter where your photographic interests lie, you will find boundless subjects in this beautiful country. Click to see larger picture.
