WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. —The driver of a scooter has died more than two months after a collision with an SUV in Winston-Salem.
Kewaun Ervin Lineberger, 30, died following an Oct. 20 crash in the 4000 block of Reidsville Road, also known as Highway 158, Winston-Salem police said Monday.
Lineberger's scooter was going north in the southbound lane of Hwy. 158 when it collided with a Chrysler SUV, police said. Lineberger was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following the crash.
Lineberger's level of impairment was a factor in the crash, police said.
Lineberger's death marked the 19th traffic death in Winston-Salem in 2014. There were 17 traffic deaths in the city in 2013.
