Found my problem.
Installed a new ignition switch because the connector melted at the red wire. You can see the new ignition switch connector. Lights came back on and bike was running fine. The red wire was not getting hot ...warm but not hot. I thought everything was just fine, but a few seconds after the bike ran, there was a nanosecond of a blink in my lights. JUST ONE. I didnt feel like putting the bike back together with that thought in mind so I began fingering around the wires and felt ..... a hot wire ! One wire cools down and I think the bike is fixed, then another one gets hot. So I moved it around and lo and behold I found the culprit of my tight ass cheek muscles from the beginning !! I moved the wire just a bit to take a picture so you could see what happened. Hot wires should not run across others and this one may have had just the slightest bit of movement when my streering column moves . With the years and the slight heat from a voltage feed, and because the ground wire ran across the hot wire ( and next to a connector ) shit happened! Just because their insulated doesnt mean that after years of use, the gentle heat from a wire wont eventually work its way to an easier ground if it can find one !
Imagine what would have happened if I didnt see the blink of the lights after installing a new switch ? ! Close call !!!!
