Ok, I didnt want to send you this right away because I wanted to hear what you had to say about my ignition switch question without complicating your thought processes with this information.

2 ignition switches. Both burnt connector at the hot wire area, each one from TWO DIFFERENT MOTORCYCLES ! one is a Shadow 500 1983 model and the other a Shadow 750 1983 model.

Could this be a symptom of shadows of that year or could it be the symptom of a bad ignition swtich ?

The fix on my Shadow 500 which happened before the Shadow 750 hotwire ignition switch problem was................... replace the switch. The Shadow 500 had no lights at all, then it would have lights, some lights acted funky and so on. I never checked the ignition switch on that bike, just took it to the shop . So with this info, I am hoping its only an ignition switch fail on the 750 but whats so strange is that switched checked GOOD according to the book and my continuity testings !!!

other sizes: small medium large original auto
