To be honest, most of the activity is not happening too much in the oldest central part of town, but anyone coming from Mukdahan, the thai border town just across the mekong, will definitely experience traveling in the past. Which has its definite charms. Note the scaffolding on one of the houses. I wonder how this scene will hold with time, now that the bridge brings over the modern world.
