Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail is the second heritage trail in Hong Kong. The first one is Ping Shan Heritage Trail. Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail was opened to public on 4th December, 1999. There are "Five Great Clans" in New Territories, their family name are Tang, Pang, Liu, Wen and Hou. Lung Yeuk Tau is the residential village of Tangs. In last stage of Southern Song Dynasty, a princess was saved from war in mid of 13th Century by Governor Tang of a county in south China. When princess arrived Kam Tin, she was married to Tang Wai-kap, son of Governor Tang. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, their elder son moved to Lung Yeuk Tau. Then their offspring have been branching out in this area until present days.
