This diesel locomotive is one of two locomotives which donated by Taiwan Power Company. Both of them were used for carrying coal to power station. It was built in 1970.
Originally, it equipped with a Cummins VTA-1710-L2. In 2003, the engine was altered to Mitsubishi S6R-PTA. At the same time, the power was upgraded from 680 hp to 851 hp.
