We were driving over a bridge and had almost past this little guy. He had both sacks on his shoulders and as I looked, one fell off. By the time we stopped he was a long way back. I just managed a quick shot of which this is a crop.
It is very amazing how different life can be for people. This young man probably can't imagine the technology that many of us take for granted in our homes. He probably will never sit behind the wheel of an expensive sports car, have excellent medical coverage, have a stocked pantry filled with food. Americans I've noticed are some of the least traveled and least "aware".. as if living in a bubble, blind to the world. In the U.S., it is very common for a person to open a large pantry (food closet) filled with a variety of food and proclaim "There is nothing here to eat!"..
I find children having to endure hardship.. sad. Very sad. Aren't children world wide more important than money? war? greed? personl and or polital agenda(s)? *You took a good photograph here. Thank you kindly for sharing!
