Thanakah Girl, Minguin, Burma

This is one of my favourite images. Perhaps its because, like so many Burmese, they present with no affectations;... no playing up to the camera. She was calm, yet intense; knowing,... an old head on very young shoulders.. and she just quietly looked straight down the barrel of my lens.
