Bottom floor of the Mash House, where all of the ingredients come together

Millville, Kentucky

The bottom floor of the mash house, where all of the ingredients come together. 51% ground corn, plus rye, and limestone filtered water are mixed to form the master distillers recipe, then the right amount of yeast is added. Once the mix is right, all of that goes into One of the 4 large (7500 gallon) wooden vats in this building, where it will be slowly heated and fermented. If you have ever smelled the distinctive aroma of mash cooking, you will never forget it!
