We all have childhood memories. Some of them are distant and fuzzy,
and some are distant but distinct. I was recently compelled to visit
the Grade School I attended as a child. Liberty Grade School in
Ponca City, OK holds many childhood memories for me. I hope you enjoy
seeing some of my memories, and maybe reminding yourself of some of yours.
Ken, this is great. In 2002 I did something similar: I drove across the country to see my childhood home in Rochester, New York, which I had not seen since 1969 (33 years). As I expected, there were disappointments along with the joys. My one-story grade school had been turned into condominiums, so only the shell looked the same. The indoor gymnasium and stage were still intact, though, and that brought back memories. You're fortunate to have been able to see your school intact. Nostalgia is a powerful force.
