Historic Hill End

A few of the original buildings built in historic Hill End during the 1870s gold rush have been restored, like Northey's store. Unfortunately many of the original buildings have disappeared leaving gaps in the landscape. This pic was taken on the first floor verhandah of the only remaining hotel in Hill End, the Royal ... in it's day the town boasted 28 pubs.
