That's Northeys store hiding behind the autumn colours and I'm standing on the first floor verandah of the Royal Hotel, the only pub still standing of the 28 pubs which once graced this old gold mining town. It's truly a trip into the past... look at that beautiful wrought iron in the foreground... the picket fences in the distance... and the corrugated roof iron may be rusting but the quality is such that it is good for another 200 years!
