In mid-December, I stopped by the Garden of the Royal Danish Library, which lies somewhat hidden between Christiansborg Palace and the Royal Library.
In the middle of the picture stands a water tower of more recent date. The garden is also known for a sculpture of the Danish existentialist philosopher Søren Kierkegaard.
The photo was taken with a Pentax K5 and a 35mm macro-limited lens.
The Garden of the Royal Danish Library, also known more colloquially as the Library Garden, is a landscaped garden tucked away between Christiansborg Palace and the old building of the Royal
Library — like an architectural pocket of time in the midst of a very busy part of Copenhagen.
The Library Garden has a classic, symmetrical layout with flower beds, lawns, and trees that provide shade and a soft incidence of light.
In the center stands a sculpture in the middle of a fountain — seen as the column at the center of
the picture above.
Pentax K5 & Pentax 35mm limited.
