Svalbard

Svalbard is about as far north as you can get. It just crosses the 80th parallel and is only 600 nautical miles from the North Pole. Its beautiful, ice-carved landscapes are truly spectacular. Add in the chance to encounter the north's apex predator, the polar bear, and you've got a recipe for a wonderful adventure.
