In 2008, I was able to take an East African safari specifically designed for photographers. We had greater weight allowances to permit large camera bags, we had fewer people per vehicle to make unobstructed shooting easier, and the safari leaders were both professional photographers. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about both the technical and creatives sides of photography. Our trip included stops in Samburu Game Reserve, Maasai Mara National Reserve and Amboseli National Park in Kenya and Serengeti National Park, Lake Ndutu and Ngorongoro Conversation Area in Tanzania.
