"trancadís" in the Chimneys
After experimenting with "trencadís" for the first time on the cupola of the horse training room in Finca Güell in 1884, Gaudí started to use this decorative resource in an integral way on the palace´s roof terrace. Gaudí provided lots of color to many of the chimneys by using fragments of broken tiles and by combining fragments of ceramic, crokery and porcelain.
