Can't stand losing ewe

The lambs have been separated from the ewes, they are several fields apart and shouting for each other.
These ewes can see fields full of lambs further down the hill.
It's a very sad song they are singing.
I don't know why the one on the left is looking so happy.

Poor ewes...they miss their babies. Evidently the one on the left is not missing hers....must have been a juvenile delinquent she had. :)

harsh for a mother to be separated from the baby she has nurtured...the lambs themselves must be shaking without a protective mum nearby...fascinating slice of life in the dales..V
