Yogyakarta

Founded in 1755, Yogyakarta is a major center for the classical Javanese arts of music, dance, puppetry and batik making. Unfortunately the city is at the foot of Mount Merapi which is still a very active volcano and is on a major fault, which time and again has damaged the city and the nearby temples.

I always enjoy seeing your pictures. I am pretty dumb when it comes to computers; so I have trouble getting to the pictures, but it is always worth the effort.
