We visited the National Museum of WWII Aviation in Colorado Springs. We spent the whole day there and had a two hour guided tour. After over 70 years of looking at airplanes I often come across one that is new to me. Today I saw an A-1E Skyraider which is a four place variant of the A-1D. This one has a story. It was used by two South Vietnamese Air Force pilots to evacuate themselves and their families to Laos during the fall of Saigon.
