There were three objectives for today's touring. First was the Tucson Botanical Garden which turned out to be very good. We spent a couple hours there. There was a butterfly enclosure which proved to be a challenge for me with my 5D MkIV. It was chilly outside and the enclosure was hot and 100% humidity. So the lens frosted over. The lens never did warm up enough to keep it from clouding over, but Ginny got some nice shots with her iPhone.

The second stop was the Mini Time Machine Museum of miniatures. Bottom line, it was mostly doll houses and the like. They were pretty neat. We dawdled around in there for a while. There were some antique exhibits, but the vast majority were modern. It was time well spent.

The last touring objective of the day was Fort Lowell which was used from 1873 to 1891. It was a cavalry outpost and major supply depot during its time. Not much is physically left except parts of the base hospital. Being made of adobe, the buildings don't last very long. There was a statue of a cavalry bugler which was neat. I fooled around trying to get an artsy shot which is today's photo.
