Here it is Thanksgiving with Richard, Christiane, Andrew and Austin in Tucson, Arizona. We had a nice dinner consisting of salmon, roaster yams, roasted vegetables, pumpkin cheesecake and ice cream. Oh yes, a few adult beverages thrown in for good measure.
The highlight of the day was our trip to the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum. it is open every day of the year and they were doing the raptor free flight. My good friend Gordon Wolford said it was a must see, and it certainly was. They flew ravens, a Great Horned owl, a Northern Crested Caracara and a Harris's Hawk. The weather was great for photography and as photographers we chose our places carefully on the down sun side of the viewing area. It was a spectacular show. We got lots of photos and as usual, many are headed to the trash bin. Today's photo is Ginny's in-flight capture of the Northern Crested Caracara. A real money shot.
