I was thinking about what to post today. This was the first time in a long time that all my computer stuff was working. The last fix was to reboot my NAS (network attached storage) drives. So I took the photo for today and sat down to load it into Lightroom. Whoops. Lightroom decided not to work. Boy was I disappointed. I decided to load the copy of the catalog I had backed up this morning and then it worked just fine. There has to be more to this catalog corruption. I got some things to look at and I will keep you posted (If I feel like it.)
The photo for the day is my new backup drive, a 4 TB solid state drive by Samsung. Over the last couple days I copied all my backup files onto it, disconnected the old back up drive and went to town with it. Transferring from my photo drive (also SSD) went 10 times faster than with the HDD it replaced. So the old drive will be cleaned and put atop the pile of superseded drives I have up on the shelf.
