We spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. Lots of critters to see, but frankly I don't have any desire for a return visit. I found it difficult to navigate around. It was hard to orient the map. We did a lot of walking. My pedometer said 21,000 steps or 8 miles. We took a bus tour and also tried the overhead tram. Our lunch was good. It was two triple bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a beer for only $60. The San Diego Zoo is not very photography friendly. Many of the enclosures are covered with chain link fence, netting and glass. It was not a target rich environment as I had hoped. For today I will settle for a iPhone shot of us before entering.

I share your frustration, John. The Santa Barbara zoo, although much smaller, is more photo friendly as l recall.
