It was an art museum day. Lucky me. First was the McCord Museum of Canadian History. They had exhibits about Canadians, of course. There was quite a bit of First People stuff. I am getting kinda tired of that. There was a great exhibition of photos by Alexander Henderson, a photographer who was active in the last half of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth century. We enjoyed it quite a bit. The main thing I like about old photographs is that they tell it like it was.

We then went to the Museum of Contemporary Art which was a zero on a scale of one to ten. I can't understand why people buy this crap. Maybe the artists are good salesmen. The museum was small because it was temporarily relocated to allow renovations at their own building. I am glad it was small because it didn't take much time to go through it.

The last art museum of the day was the Museum of Fine Arts. It is very big. There are five buildings connected with underground passages. There was a wide variety of stuff. Some of it real art and some of it crap. There was also an historical exhibition about Napoleon which I found interesting. Among other things there was his death mask and one of two cocked hats he wore during the ill fated Russia campaign which is today's photo.
