Another Lenten Friday! Today I decided to experiment with an oven fried repast. I really like to deep fry things, but it creates quite a mess. So I decided to have a go at oven frying. The catfish filets came out quite nice. The onion rings didn't work too well; although, they were tasty. Later in the day I tried it again with another approach to the onion rings, but the result was also unsatisfying. Not sure what I am going to do next Friday. Might decide to fire up my deep frying set up on the side burner of my grill. Clean up is easy. All it takes is a spray bottle of soap and a hose. BTW - no chop stick props for this one.
