We got back home today from our short 12 day road trip. It was a great deal of fun. It was much too short. We stayed last night in Sonora, Texas, a place we have stayed before. We have decided that very long driving days are not for us. We broke up the 815 mile return trip into two days. As far as timing is concerned, the objective was to return back to the house before 3:00 so that Ginny could watch her favorite show, Jeopardy. We made it and she was happy. Happy Ginny is important.

So the whole trip was 2685 miles. That is an average of 224 miles per day. It felt real good to be out on the road again. Can't wait for the next adventure, Thanksgiving with the family in Alpharetta. BTW - the last 160 miles was from Buc-ee's in Luling, a favorite stop on I-10.
