A busy day for Ginny. After church in Newberg we headed back and visited Ginny's mom for a while. Then it was off to visit Aunt Sylvia. We took her to lunch at a Chinese place in Banks, the next town over. That was nice. It was also important to Ginny because she got to visit with the last four remaining uncles and aunts during this trip. Ginny's dad was from a family of 9 siblings.
After all that was over we headed to a storage locker where all the belongings of Ginny's parents were resident. We had brought two extra suitcases with the intention of hauling stuff home. Her sister Patty (pictured) has really done all the work to start organizing and going through all the stuff. There is a LOT of stuff. They spent the afternoon and into the evening sorting through the bits that Patty had set aside for Ginny to examine. When it was all over she filled the two suitcases, two carry ons and our personal suitcases with "stuff." The majority of the volume was taken up by pillows (yes, pillows) that Ginny's grandmother made from all the duck down that her dad generated in many years of duck hunting on the family duck pond.
Once all that was done we headed to the airport hotel and unloaded all the luggage into our room before returning the rental car. Our last stop before the hotel was for fuel and salads. It was late and we were hungry. Back at the hotel it was a relaxing time eating salads and finishing off the last of the wine we had bought on the trip. Life is good, but sometimes rather tiring.
