Today we headed back from Oregon with all the stuff. I was apprehensive about marshaling two suitcase and two carry ons for each of us, but things went smoothly. As with our flight out last Monday, the airport was not very crowded. We ended up sitting for about three hours. The arriving flight from Houston had a surprise for us. Ginny's cousin Mike and his wife Theresa were on the plane. We had a chance to chat with them for a while before we had to board the airplane.

One of the nice views you can get from the airplane is Mt. Hood west of Portland. We have photographed it many times. The conditions were not very clear because of forest fires burning in several places. Our whole week was marked with such smoke. So the view of the mountain wasn't so good. Ginny took a few snaps and they turned out to be interesting. The histogram was very narrow, but some stretching did the trick and we ended up with an interesting photo.

Once back at the house about 8:30 pm, I made straight for the refrigerator and pulled out a nice cold beer. Getting all the stuff unloaded was a snap. Ginny unloaded the suitcases and we counted about two dozen pillows which made the trip to Houston. That was Ginny's top objective and we accomplished it, with Patty's help.
