So here is my scanning set up. I am using the Nikon 9000 film scanner. This item is out of production. It is very good and very expensive. I picked it up in April of 2007. I had quite a number of "malfunctions" over time that had to do with cables, computers and software. Although I sent the scanner back several times, I really think it was never the problem. Interestingly, I think one problem I had was the Nikon scanning software. It might also have been my computer which had hiccups sometimes. I figured out the source of the hiccups and have fixed that. So now I am running different software. I am using VueScan which, although somewhat quirky, seems to work quite well. So now I am into a production run and learning quite a bit about controlling color as I go. This is fun.

Let the scanning continue unabated and unquirked!
