Big day here in Houston. We picked up a new barbeque which Ginny had said I could get for my birthday next month. So, I decided that an appropriate way to break it in would be to grill ribeye steaks. My son Robert had given me a great book entitled "Serious Barbeque" by Adam Perry Lang. It is really interesting. Anyway, I pulled out the procedure for ribeyes and tried it. It was unbelievabley good. If I keep it up I will get as good as Robert at grilling.

Yup ,it is. I usually use canola oil, however.

Is that extra virgin olive oil behind you?

Rob - I think I am going to get a little side table for out there. Although there is plenty of space to put a beer on the sides of the grill, it is hot there which is a poor environment for a beer.

Its tough to beat grilling slabs of meat on a sunny day! I like how your grill has plenty of counter space for your beer. But what I have found is you need one hand for flipping, and one hand for swigging.
