A view of the Bridge of Sighs in Venice which connects the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace to the prison prison
Built in 1600 the bridge has a fair amount of mythology attached to it. The English name "The Bridge of Sighs" originated with Lord Byron as his translation of the Venetian "Ponte de i Sospiri"
