Hi Harold,

I grew up in St. John's and have been in Austin, Texas since 1977.
Been to Greenspond many times and it is a wonderful pic by the way.

I grew up in Greenspond from the mid 1960's to the early 1980's. A lot of my childhood time was spent in that area jigging tomcods,flatties, and sculpins off the wharf. The picture today remains almost the same as when it was taken. However, since the island has become connected with the a causeway, I find that the island has lost some of its character. Nevertheless, Greenspond will always be home to me.
