Hooded Crow. Yet another very common resident. The setting here is just south of the east pier of the harbor at Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. This bird was quite excited, making much noice vocally and apparently had puffed up his feathers. Nearby, taking a bath in the shallows was another hooded crow; probably the cause of the excitement. For this shot I was using a 1.4 extender and was about 30 feet from the crow.
