And We’re Off
So here I go again. I figured I didn’t really need a break. After my first PaD I took a break and it felt good. So good that I continually took week long breaks during last years PaD. This time I figured that if I took no break, maybe I would post everyday.
When I started my first PaD I was told by someone that if I didn’t have a picture to take a self portrait. They said that you can’t go wrong with a good SP. Today it was getting late. I was worried that I may not find a PaD worthy picture so I snapped a self portrait. A picture of me and the best dog in the world.
Sinta has developed a habit. Whenever I get out on a traffic stop, whenever I get out to talk to someone, he barks like crazy. He’s smart though. He doesn’t bark until I hang up the mic and open the door. There is something comforting knowing that he is a button push away. If things go bad, I can push a button on my belt to unleash the hounds. 70 pounds of teeth. Don’t think it’s lost on the people I come in contact with. They hear him. They might think they can take me on. They are pretty sure they can’t take us both on. I love my job and I love my dog. For as annoying as he can be, he is the best.
So here it is. The first picture of the third year. A year that will be, hopefully, filled with renewed commitment. A year, no doubt, filled with ups and downs for everyone to see. A year documented for me to go back and read on Nov. 27th, 2009. Another year. Wish me luck.
I hope to see you all at the end.
