Badlands National Park – South Dakota

I drove through the Badlands North Unit on the 28 mile park road eight times and also went out on the extended dirt road where I passed through a Bison herd on my way south to the Stronghold Unit on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. There are amazing vistas throughout the park and the abundance of wildlife was surprising, but it is the landscape that is memorizing.
