"Intensity"
Pitcher Angela Tincher dominated games from the softball mound. Among her accomplishments in
2008 was a no-hitter for a 1-0 win in an exhibition game over the US Olympic softball team,
surpassing the 2,000 career strikeout total, and winning a multitude of ACC and national awards.
Her number (No. 1) was retired in a ceremony at Lane Stadium on September 13. Here, Tincher
focuses on the catcher's call against 11th ranked Houston. She and her teammates would
come away with a 1-0 victory on a cold spring night in Blackburg.
