Virginia Tech students, faculty, and staff appear a bit star-struck as they watch NY Yankee
celebrities Alex Rodriquez and Derek Jeter only a few yards away. The Yankees were in Blacksburg
as they took part in an exhibition game against the Hokies to honor the victims of the April 2007
Virginia Tech shooting tragedy. The Yankees would win the game 9-1, and would also win the respect
of all those there to see the game and hear the kind words they shared while in Blacksburg.
