"Dunkin' Deron"
Deron Washington was one of the most athletic Hokies to ever set foot on the floor of
Cassell Coliseum. He was a particular thorn in the side against UVA during his senior
year. Earlier in the year, he sank a last second shot in overtime to lead Tech to a 70-69
win in Charlottesville. Here he is shown dunking an offensive rebound over UVA star
Sean Singletary late in regulation to help send this game to overtime as well. The Hokies
would win 72-65 for a regular season sweep over the Wahoos.
