6/23: Voluble

Today marks the start of an experiment of using the Word of the Day from http://www.dictionary.com
as inspiration for my PaD post. It may last a day, a week, a month, who knows ...

voluble \VOL-yuh-buhl\, adjective:
  1. Characterized by a ready flow of speech.
  2. Easily rolling or turning; rotating.
  3. (Botany) Having the power or habit of turning or twining.

So this is where that all started. Best of luck.

great idea and good luck Jeremy, i like how the voluable object cuts the picture plane in half, ; compositionally, i think its lacking balance...i keep fallying to the right and then object keeps bringing me back...hmm..so voluble;) i really like the dialogue thing happening on the right and the subdued color

(another) great idea...

ciao Jeremy :)

We have one a those in our house, a little miss who is voluble ... I had no trouble recognizing that word, but it was interesting to see the other meanings. Beautiful image! :)

Steal my car would you LOL. I was going to do something along this line too, but I didn't!
David Clunas24-Jun-2005 20:47
Very nice, like the overall tone and the twist of the leaf

Great one. Neat composition....

Goodness. You ARE the creative one, aren't you! Combining the word of the day with picture a day -- what a concept! Good work here for your first one. I have a word for you, as a suggestion, sometime: monomaniacal. It's my favorite word!
Guest 24-Jun-2005 16:50
This is a wonderful idea! Excellent!

Great idea. I was struggling yesterday after a whirlwind day at work to come up with an idea. I like what you are doing here. Great duotone presentation.
Guest 24-Jun-2005 14:10
Beautiful and interesting in the same time! Great idea.
I just love the composition, DOF and tones of your photo.
(And, from my point of view, always nice to improve my vocabulary without having to use my own dictionary :-) We have "volubile" in French, but I think it has only the first meaning of your "voluble")
s_barbour24-Jun-2005 14:05
Well aren't you ingenious! You come up with the greatest ideas Jeremy. The subject in your photograph certainly is voluble, well done!
