Lake Taihu (Chinese: 太湖) is a freshwater lake located in the Yangtze River Delta in Jiangsu Province of China.

This view of Lake Taihu was taken from Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle), a peninsula on the northwestern shore of the lake near Wuxi city.

The morning was gloomy, with overcast sky and intermittent rain. This makes the travelling to Yuantouzhu a bit inconvenient, but rewarded us with the right atmosphere to take this classical shot of a Chinese lake with olden junks on it in the far distance.
