Pangkor Laut is a small, privately-owned island located off the coast of West Malaysia, in the Straits of Malacca.

To be honest, if you are looking for excitement and entertainment, Pangkor Laut Resort is not the place to go. There is no golf course, only a small gym, little sea activities or adventure sports such as diving, snorkelling, parasailing etc, and no night life. For that, other 'nearby' islands such as Phuket in Thailand would be a better choice. Instead, one goes to Pangkor Laut Resort to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the island.
