We spent Memorial Day weekend camping at French Meadows Reservoir in Northern California. Boston's friend Ramy went with us on what would be his first camping trip. The weather and fishing couldn't have been any better. We did have a few mix ups however, including the car running out of gas 40mi from the nearest gas station (we had our truck with us too) and not being able to call Ramy's parents on Saturday (we said we would) due to the extreme remoteness of the lake.

In the end it was a wonderful weekend in the high sierras and Jenn had here first California bear experience. A very large brown bear decided to raid our neighbor’s campsite while they were away fishing. The confrontation ended peacefully but Jenn was a little on edge for a few days.
