Rumor had it that the only cell phone reception within 40mi of the French Meadows was on top of Chipmunk Ridge. We drove up to the top and attempted to call Ramy's parents. No such luck. Jenn would have to make the 40mi (on a dangerous mtn road) drive back to Foresthill to make the call.
