We would start Day 2 deep inside the Great Basin Desert where the night time temps dipped way below freezing. A few hours later we would be swimming on a rooftop pool in Beverly Hills where the temp was a balmy 85°F!

We had intended to have a nice relaxing fire and breakfast around our campsite that morning but it was just too damn cold! So we packed up the truck and drove off in search of warmer temps. Our next stop would be the Alabama Hills in the shadow of 14,505’ (4,421 meters) Mount Whitney. We would spend a few hours here cooking breakfast, making coffee and climbing on the incredible rock structures. A few hundred miles of Mojave Desert later and we were drinking beer around the hotel pool in Beverly Hills

I usually don’t take my camera when Jeff and I go to the clubs because: #1 I tend to lose stuff when I drink; #2 I fall down a lot. In hindsight I wished I had made an exception on this night! Somehow we ended up at a ‘Cypress Hill’ concert in the 'House of Blues' on Sunset Strip. We had great seats, the band was on fire, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, out walks the legendary ‘Snoop Dogg’! Snoop played a great solo set before he needed to be dragged off the stage by his body guards. Apparently the massive blunt sparked up by the Cypress Hill boys was more than Snoop could handle.

Later on we chugged beers with Snoop’s Mom in the parking lot before somehow getting VIP access to the ‘Ranch’. Inside we watched drunk girls ride the mechanical bull until I accidentally poked ‘50 Cent’ in the eye. The night pretty much ended there but not before I rolled my ankle and fell all the way down the hill back to our hotel.
