Note: Sorry for the delayed uploading again. I had no access over the weekend at the wedding and then I seamlessly transitioned to a call in the hospital. Gotta get the wifi!
Annie and Fred got married this weekend in Flushing. It was a beautiful event which showcased their love for each other and those who love them both. The camera came along but since they had a pro who no doubt could photograph the happy couple much better than I could, I thought I would point my camera at more peripheral subjects!
We had a unique meal at this vegitarian/kosher restaurant for the rehersal dinner. They made taro and tofu into things that almost looked and tasted like meat...but that's an entirely different discussion altogether. There was one dish that didn't pretend to be what it was not and that was the wintermelon. This huge creation was cooked for over 6 hours to perfect taste and consistency. Served like a hollowed-out watermelon standing on one end, it easily fed the entire table. As you can see by this photo, Evelyn could easily fit inside of it, if she wanted to!
