Taking apart the vacuum sealer

So I left too much "juice" in the first bag-o-beef that I'm attempting to age. Some got sucked up into the vacuum sealer. That's not a spot that I want to do any aging in. After the bag was sealed, I decided to take apart the vacuum sealer and clean it. I don't encourage doing this, as it may lead to damage to the unit or yourself. If you find yourself in a similar situation and decide to proceed anyway, do so at your own risk. This is a summary of my personal experience and is not intended to predict all of the various issues that may arise. I am most certainly not an expert snorkel vacuum sealer repairman. :)
