Situated in North Yorkshire, the 18th century designed landscape of Studley Royal water garden and pleasure grounds,
including the ruins of Fountains Abbey, and the Deer Park is one harmonious whole of buildings, gardens and landscapes.
This landscape of exceptional merit and beauty represents over 800 years of human ambition, design and achievement.
The gardens were beautiful, very green and lush and we spent close to two hours wandering around seeing the grounds and the ruins.
Besides the ruins I loved seeing the the deer just resting comfortably under this big tree.
If you had the time you could easily spend a whole day here.
