BF5T9013-c.jpg

A close-up of the previous one. Pretty cool to see how the cracks propagate at the same time the bullet falls down, severely deformed after having delivered its kinetic energy...

Canon EOS 1Ds

other sizes: small medium original auto

this is a thicker glass and here again you see the cone of the impact and the vacuum created on the opposite side. The glass brakes and the shock-wave pushes the glass to outwards while an aspiration makes the glass being sucked inside on the other side. That is why we see here a belly on the right and a valley on the other side on the left. See also the piece of glass that enters inside in that valley where one can see a hole opening.

A wonderful capture. Time well spent to capture such a instant of time.
